WATCH: Bea's most iconic movie characters

17 years have passed and Bea Alonzo continues to be the subject of our admiration and inspiration with her incomparable talent. Taking every movie with poise and expertise, Bea definitely deserves her crown as this generation's Movie Queen. Of course, it doesn't hurt that she's a genuine person whose heart is just as beautiful as her looks.

And as she celebrates her birthday today, October 17, here are the Movie Queen's most iconic roles in local movies which could send tears to our eyes and nostalgia to our hearts every single  time.

When Bea played Marian, she made every girl feel that it is always alright to pursue one's ultimate crush as long as you are being true to yourself.

To take a risk in order to find yourself again is what Basha gave us in "One More Chance". It's better to lose sometimes than to regret forever.

Bea became more mature when she took the role of Lara. Her pain became our pain in every single scene.

Bea's most controversial role so far is Sari in the Olivia Lamasan masterpiece "The Mistress," opposite John Lloyd Cruz and veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez.

Versatility becomes her as she did this controversial scene with Ronaldo.
