October 17 is a big day for Movie Queen Bea Alonzo: not only is she marking the first day of her 18th movie "First Love" in cinemas, but she will also be celebrating her 31st birthday.
Bea sat down for an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" last October 15 and revealed that she only wants two things for her birthday: wisdom and contentment. She explained, "My wish is to have more wisdom. To be content. 'Yun 'yung greatest power, contentment, kasi doon ka lang magiging masaya."
She continued, "It's human nature that you would want more, 'pag na achieve mo na 'tong bagay na 'to may gusto ka ulit i-achieve. That's not bad, but you have to be grateful at some point and just say that 'I'm happy that I'm able to achieve all these things'."
One of her latest achievements? Working with legendary actor Aga Muhlach. According to Bea, a self-proclaimed Aga fangirl, she never thought she'd get the chance to work with her "First Love" co-star especially after he'd taken a years-long showbiz hiatus.
She revealed, "Pinangarap kong makatrabaho si Aga Muhlach, noong-noon pa. Nakatrabaho na niya halos lahat ng nasa generation ko, sila Angel Locsin, sila Anne Curtis, si Angelica Panganiban."
"Naisip ko hindi na ata ako magkakaroon ng chance," she added, "Kasi parang nag-semi retire siya at ayaw niyang gumawa ng pelikula for the past 8 years. Until ito na, nagkaroon na ako ng chance, so dreams do come true. Baka ito talaga 'yung perfect project for us."
"First Love" is produced by TEN17P along with Star Cinema and Viva Films. It will hit cinemas nationwide tomorrow, October 17.
