It’s already nice as it is to play as a daughter to a phenomenal actress on a TV show, but getting to do it again in film with another iconic actress, now that’s just awesome.
From having Angelica Panganiban as her mom on the 2015 remake of “Pangako Sa’yo”, Andrea Brillantes has moved as Judy Ann Santos’ angst-y daughter in the upcoming film “Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes”.
The 14-year-old rising star shared how fun it was to be with Angelica on the set. "Super saya. Halos every day magkasama and napakasaya kasama, kasi nakakatawa siya kasama at ka-work ni Ate Angelica. ‘Pag late na itataas niya ‘yung energy, masaya talaga siya katrabaho,” said Andrea in an interview with us last Monday, January 8.
Meanwhile, Andrea said she felt a bit more intimidated this time with Judy Ann, so she really made sure that she didn’t mess up on their scenes in the film.
"Aaminin ko kinakabahan ako. ‘Pag meron akong eksena with her, lalo na 'pag solo na scene, mine-memorize ko, pinipiktyuran ko pa 'yung script ko para mababasa ko siya,” Andrea revealed.
She added, “Nakaka-pressure, gusto ko magaling ako dito, pero masaya. Super bait ni Ate Juday, super understanding siya ‘pag nagkakamali, super patient, super bait.”
Joross Gamboa, meanwhile, played as her dad in “Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes." Andrea admitted that having him around made all their work more enjoyable. "Masaya ang kulit niya! Panay siya jokes and kakulitan."
Her character’s name is Macy and she is the loving daughter of two parents that have just broken up. "Medyo boyish ako dito and close ako sa daddy at mommy ko,” she added.
“Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes” follows the story of Lianne (Judy Ann) and Cindy (Angelica), two very different women with the same goal; and that is to keep their husbands.
But soon, they realized what they need to do is to keep them apart... from each other.
Will they get their revenge or will the jokes still be on them until in the end?
“Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes” also stars JC de Vera, Gladys Reyes, Carmi Martin, and more.
Directed by Jun Robles Lana, the comedy-drama is coming to cinemas this January 17.
