Theater actor JC Santos officially pursued his "first love" as he signed a contract today, January 30, under Star Music.
In a press conference held for Star Music's New Artists earlier today, he shared about his journey towards pursuing this path. "Noong 2015 po bumalik ako galing New York. Nag-Universal Studios po ako ng 2009, then nag-Hong Kong Disneyland po ako, then New York. Five years po 'yun then four years akong nabakante ulit. So ni-refresh lang ako ni Kiko Salazar sa boses ko. Tapos nagvo-voice lessons. Ni-renew ko lang ulit."
Although his passion for singing has been on hiatus for the previous years, he revealed that his love for it never died, as much as he values acting. “Priority ko pa rin po siya. Okay lang sumabay. 100% pa rin po ibibigay ko eh,” he said when asked about how much he prioritizes music.
Now that he’s been active with pretty much everything – television, film, and now singing – rumors have spread regarding his “attitude.”
"Ayy hindi po. Hindi naman. Usually theater friends lang ang kasama ko palagi. Ang nagbago lang po siguro ay naging confident lang ako sa mga trabahong nilalabasan ko."
JC’s debut single “Pwede Naman” is now available on iTunes and Spotify. He's also slated to release an album on February 18, and a solo concert is said to be in the works.
Welcome to Star Music, JC! :)
