Judy Ann Santos and Angelica Panganiban were asked point blank about their alleged falling out back in 2008 on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” last Friday, January 26.
It was when Judy Ann starred in two teleseryes with Angelica’s then-boyfriend Derek Ramsay and it was rumored that the latter got jealous over the two’s on-screen romance.
She even attended a culinary school to match Judy Ann’s cooking skills, according to gossips. But Angelica quickly debunked that theory on the late-night talk show. “Kaya ako nag-culinary kasi gusto ko ‘yung thought na nagsisilbi, nagluluto, gano’n.”
Rumors started going around once again when Judy Ann tied the knot with husband Ryan Agoncillo the following year and Angelica was not invited.
It was Judy Ann who addressed the issue this time. She did confirm that there really was a bit of a drama between them at the time, but for an entirely different reason.
“Iba ‘to ma-in love. Iba talaga. Nasisiraan ng bait. Nakakalimot ng mga tao sa paligid niya. ‘Pag in love, bulag! Gagang ‘to. ‘Di man lang talaga maka-hindi. Mula nun ‘di ko talaga siya pinapansin. So ‘di siya invited sa kasal ko,” said Judy Ann
But, of course, things are so much different now. Both actresses have expressed their love and admiration for each other after getting close on the set of their film “Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes”.
They even shared that even after they’ve wrapped up and done all their promotional duties, they still choose to hang out with each other.
“Kagabi lang ayaw naming maghiwalay kahit pagod na pagod na kami,” said Angelica.
Then Judy Ann added, “Antok na antok na kami. Naduduling na kami sa antok, pero ayaw naman namin magpaalamanan. ‘Di naman kami masyadong nag-uusap. Pero magkatabi naman kami, magkaharap naman kaming ganyan.”
“Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes” follows the story of Lianne (Judy Ann) and Cindy (Angelica), two very different women with the same goal; and that is to keep their husbands.
But soon, they realized what they need to do is to keep them apart... from each other.
Will they get their revenge or will the jokes still be on them until in the end?
Directed by Jun Robles Lana, the film also stars Joross Gamboa, JC de Vera, Carmi Martin, Gladys Reyes, and Andrea Brillantes.
