Katarina Rodriguez was named first runner-up at the 2017 Miss Intercontinental pageant in Egypt today, January 25.
The beauty queen was also named Miss Intercontinental Asia and Oceania, but the crown went to Mexico’s Veronica Salas Vallejo.
Katarina popularity rose after she joined the second cycle of “Asia’s Next Top Model,” where she also finished as the runner-up.
On her Instagram account, Katarina shared the most important lesson she learned from the pageant.
“Meraki, to do all things with soul, creativity & passion. Simply do as the Egyptians do,” she said.
The Philippines has yet to win the Miss Intercontinental crown since the country joined the pageant three years ago.
