“Pig out” season is over and the Summer season is fast approaching.
Probably you’re already cramming to eliminate the "holiday fat" and get that summer-ready body... Don’t worry, we are here to help you.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE in this journey, my friend, because our eagerness to also have fit and healthy bodies pushed us to compile fitness tips from “Carlo J. Caparas' Ang Panday” stars Kylie Verzosa and Jake Cuenca taken from their Star Cinema Chat guestings.
Here are the things we've learned from them that you can apply to your own fitness goals this year!
Little steps
“Try to lessen your carb intake and sugar.” - Kylie
“Vegetarian na ako pero kung gagawin mo dapat willing ka. Decide first para buo ang puso.” - Jake
If you’re physically active...
“Actually masarap kumain talaga eh. Kung nagte-train ka, nakakapag-gym ka... Kasi mahirap maging miserable ka. Mahirap mag-train ng kulang ang nutrisyon. So sa akin kung nagte-train ka at nagji-gym ka naman regularly, that gives you the right to eat anything you want. Pero bawas pa rin onti sa carbs and fatty food.” - Jake
Confidence is always the key
“Feeling ko more than anything, kahit wala ka pang six-pack, kahit sa babae usually nagdadala 'yung confidence talaga.” - Jake
“Hindi naman sa fit pero 'yung comfortable ka sa skin mo, no matter what size, or how you look, basta comfortable ka lang.” - Kylie
Of course, aside from those, it's also important to take care of how we look. That boosts our confidence even more. So with that, Kylie shared to us her beauty regime.
“Every morning I cleanse my skin, moisturize, and drink lots of water. I have supplements and vitamins. Make sure 'yung diet mo healthy. Just eat healthy, less processed food.The way you cook, it matters.”
To inspire you on this whole journey, here’s a life mantra from the QUEEN:
“I like to classify life into three things: Beautiful mind. Beautiful heart and beautiful soul. If you're making yourself smarter, if you're making yourself more intelligent, you're reading a lot, you're feeding your mind the right thing.”
