Carmi, pinahirapan si Angelica?!

Who could ever forget Carmi Martin’s iconic portrayals in “No Other Woman” and “Four Sisters and A Wedding?”

We still haven’t gotten over her remarkable performances in her recent films “Loving In Tandem” and the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Ang Panday”, yet here she is again with another character we all surely love!

The veteran actress is about to steal the show again as Angelica Panganiban’s meddling and pushy mother-in-law in the upcoming film “Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes”.

“Ako 'yung mother-in-law ni Angelica. Kinukulit ko siya, very bossy 'yung personality,” she revealed at the film’s grand media launch last Tuesday, January 9.

The comedy-drama, which Carmi has nothing but praises for, also stars Judy Ann Santos, JC de Vera, Joross Gamboa, and Gladys Reyes among others.

“I'm so blessed na maging part ng pelikulang ito. Dahil nung malaman ko 'yung cast at ating director, talagang sabi ko tuloy-tuloy 'to ah. Ang gaganda ng projects na napupunta sa'kin,” she shared.

Carmi added, “Maraming nakakatawang eksena, maganda 'yung pagkaka-direk, maganda 'yung buong pelikula, at 'yung casting. Sinasabi ko na talagang panalo!"

She is so confident and enthusiastic about the film that she even compared it to “No Other Woman” which wasn’t only received well by critics but also a box office record-breaker and now a cult-classic.

“Talagang masasabi ko 'yung mga lines ako at naging markado sa 'No Other Woman', masasabi ko itong pelikulang maco-compare ko 'yung dating,” she said.

“Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes” follows the story of Lianne (Judy Ann Santos) and Cindy (Angelica), two very different women with the same goal; and that is to keep their husbands.

But soon, they realized what they need to do is to keep them apart... from each other.

Will they get their revenge or will the jokes still be on them until in the end?

Directed by Jun Robles Lana, the film also stars Joross Gamboa, JC de Vera, Andrea Brillantes, Carmi Martin, and more.

Catch it in cinemas this January 17!
