"The Good Son" actor Nash Aguas made his directorial debut in "Coffee Break," an ABS-CBNmobile exclusive sitcom.
In a report by ABS-CBN News today, January 12, the 19-year-old star revealed that "Coffee Break" was his concept, that's why the management of ABS-CBNmobile chose him to direct the series as well.
He shared, "Nagustuhan nila. Sabi nila, 'Tutal, sa iyo nanggaling 'yong concept, ikaw na rin mag-direct, dahil alam mo ang pasikot-sikot ng story.'"
Nash rose to fame when he won the kid's edition of the talent search competition "Star Circle Quest" back in 2004. Since then, he starred in the children-oriented gagshow "Goin' Bulilit," and has been cast in numerous TV shows and movies throughout his career.
But aside from acting, Nash shared that it is also his dream to direct. And as he forayed into his first directorial job in "Coffee Break," it's a combination of enjoyment and pressure for him.
"Pressured ako kasi first-ever directorial job ko ito, pero fulfilling. Nakaka-enjoy talaga, nakakatuwa na 'yung dating pinapangarap mo, ginagawa mo na."
Aside from directing, we will also see Nash act in "Coffee Break," together with his "Goin' Bulilit" batch mates Igiboy Flores and John Manalo.
Nash sees himself directing more in the future, but acting will forever be ingrained in him.
"Sa tingin ko, umpisa pa lang ito. Hindi mawawala sa akin 'yung pagiging artista, pero nakikita ko 'yung sarili kong tumanda as a director," he said.
