Pia talks about first shooting experience with Vice and Daniel

Pia Wurtzbach had her first shooting day yesterday, September 7, for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) movie, "Gandarrapiddo: The Revengers."

The beauty queen expressed her excitement to do her first scene with "La Luna Sangre" actor Daniel Padilla and Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda.

"Masaya, sobrang excited ako, first day ko ngayon dito [sa shooting]," she said.

Having left the acting sphere several years ago to pursue pageantry and eventually win the Miss Universe 2015 crown, how is Pia adjusting over her return to the craft?

For her role, Pia needed to go into fight training.

Tinuruan nila akong mag-boxing, mag Muay Thai, at Jiu-jitsu. Tapos 'yung wire training, 'yung may harness. Very safe naman 'yun at saka nasanay na rin ako at naging kumportable na ako kung ano 'yung pakiramdam na hinihila ka," she related.

She shared that the training was necessary to build her character and figure out the best moves suited for her.

Will the audience see a more daring Pia in the film?

"Oo naman," she affirmed.

Pia is enjoying the moment as of now, and if there is a possibility of doing more acting projects in the future, she would welcome it.

"Sana. 'Yun 'yung gusto kong mangyari. And then after that, tingnan natin kung magkakaroon pa ulit ng isa pa, or kung ano 'yung magiging path ko as an actress now," she said.

So, what is more challenging for Pia, pageant training or acting?

"Gandarrapiddo: The Revengers" is directed by Joyce Bernal, and is an official Star Cinema entry to the MMFF 2017.
