Angel Locsin marked her return to “La Luna Sangre” as a brand new character, Jacintha Magsaysay.
We only saw her for a few seconds in the episode last night, September 6, but we’re already intrigued about how she’ll affect all the other characters’ storylines!
Here are some of the things we found out about Jacintha (and Angel as well!) after the “La Luna Sangre” press conference today, September 7:
1. Angel has always been part of the story.
Creative manager Henry Quitain related that Angel’s return to the series was planned from the begininng.
“From the start, nakalatag kami kung kailan siya darating sa show ulit. From the start nandun siya,” he said. “Nanggulat lang kami, walang pasabi-sabi, ayan na si Ms. Angel Locsin.”
2. Jacintha is a far cry from Lia.
We all loved Lia in “Imortal,” but Jacintha is the complete opposite of Lia’s character.
“Jacintha is human, with sophistication, mayaman, kayang makipagtapatan, she speaks her mind,” Henry shared. “Si Lia is very simple with lots of powers, so they’re really very different.”
3. She’s on Sandrino (Richard Gutierrez’s) side… for now.
Angel related that Jacintha is a genius political strategist who can rebrand a politician’s image no matter how scandalous.
“So ngayon, tutulungan niya si Sandrino para [maging president],” she said. “Pero may pagka-grey ‘yung character ko… basta nababalot siya ng misteryo.”
Be sure to tune in to “La Luna Sangre” every night to find out more about Jacintha Magsaysay!
