Daniel has the most humble perspective after winning PMPC best actor award

Daniel Padilla, one-half of the KathNiel power tandem, won the Movie Actor of the Year at the 33rd Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies, yesterday, September 3, held at Resorts World Manila.

The "Barcelona: A Love Untold" actor received the award on stage and thanked the directors he has worked with for all the guidance and lessons they have imparted to him in acting.

He also thanked his "Bal" Kathryn Bernardo, for being with him from the start.

Daniel added how much Kathryn supported him during the filming of their movie "Barcelona."

"Maraming-maraming salamat sa'yo (Kathryn), sa pagtitiwala mo sa akin. Na tuwing may nararamdaman ako, nalulungkot man ako sa set, 'pag may hindi ako magawang eksena, nandyan siya para i-comfort ako at bigyan ako ng lakas ng loob na kaya kong gawin ang eksena na 'yun," the 22-year-old actor said.

Daniel also said that the recognition only means that he needs to work even harder on his craft.

Daniel also received the award for Movie Love Team of the Year for KathNiel.

Daniel and Kathryn star in the hit primetime series "La Luna Sangre."
