Veteran actress Vilma santos won Movie Actress of the Year for the Star Cinema movie "Everything About Her" at the 33rd Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies, yesterday, September 3, at Resorts World Manila.

Ate Vi said she appreciates the award given to her and her "kumare."

"After five decades andito pa din kami ng kumare ko (Nora), at binibigyan niyo pa din kami ng recognition and we do really appreciate it, kaya maraming salamat po. Inspirasyon po namin ito up to this day at nandito pa din tayo," she said.

In an interview with members of the media after the awarding, the Star for All Seasons also said that she is already used to competing with Nora, as they have a long history of being compared in the industry.

"Wala namang bago, kami naman ng kumare ko ever since, kami naman lagi magkalaban," she noted.

Ate Vi added that they were able to catch up backstage during the event.

She said, "Na-miss namin ang isa't isa, actually nagkukwentuhan kami [kanina] sa likod."
