For the second time since their stint inside the "Pinoy Big Brother" house, Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber had a sit-down interview with the King of Talk on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" last Friday, September 8.
In their conversation, Tito Boy recalled the time when director Rory Quintos dubbed the German-Filipino heartthrob the "Next Big Superstar," which he firmly believes because of the projects Edward has been getting.
"Who knows? I’d like to think I am," Edward said when Tito Boy asked him if he's ready for stardom.
"But I’d like to take comfort in the fact that I have people around me who’ll make sure that whatever happens, my head will stay here," he stressed right after.
Tito Boy agreed to Edward's sentiments, leaving him a piece of advice.
"That’s important. Surround yourself with people who are good," the host relayed.
Boy also expressed how proud he is of Maymay, who already received some big achievements in a span of six months since she was hailed the Big Winner.
"Tito Boy, ‘yung totoo po talaga, kung nararanasan lang nila ‘yung nararanasan ko... Kung nararamdaman lang nila ‘yung nararamdaman ko na ‘yung blessings ko... Grabe ka Lord. Parang... Bakit? Deserve ko ba ‘to? Parang ganun ba? Mapapaisip ka ng ganun," the 20-year-old actress shared.
Maymay then promised to never let fame go to her head.
"Choice mo ‘yun eh kung yayabang ka o hindi. Pero ‘yung technique ko po diyan ay ‘wag na ‘wag kang magsawang magpasalamat sa lahat ng taong tumulong sa’yo para matupad ‘yung pangarap mo," she reiterated.
"At as long as ‘yung faith ko kay God ay nandito sa puso ko, wala pong rason para magyayabang po ako," she added.
Maymay and Edward lead the cast in Star Cinema's latest romantic-comedy film "Loving In Tandem" with Kisses Delavin and Marco Gallo.
The film follows the story of Shine (Maymay Entrata), a positive and determined girl who will do everything for her family. She meets the balikbayan Luke (Edward Barber) in the most unusual circumstance and later on finds herself experiencing various stages of love – as they get closer.
With a bit of a language barrier getting in the way (or not, really), the two accidentally put themselves in an awkward (but nonetheless, kilig!) situation when Luke announced in their entire barangay that Shine is his “JOWA.”
Will the language of their hearts triumph over whatever differences Shine and Luke have? How will they change each other’s lives?
“Loving in Tandem," directed by Giselle, is NOW SHOWING in cinemas nationwide!
