Kilig isn’t the only thing you can bring home after watching “Love You to the Stars and Back:” you’ll be armed with life lessons and realizations as well.
Even the movie’s lead stars Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto admitted they had a lot to think about when they finished shooting.
Joshua shared that he learned the importance of facing your problems head-on through his character Caloy.
“Kapag may problema ka, ‘wag mong tatakasan. Hangga't may naniniwala sa’yo, harapin mo kasi ‘yung mga nasa paligid mo sila din ‘yung tutulong sa’yo,” he said during their digital conference last week.
Julia added that it’s better to take all the chances you’re given before they pass you by.
“Don’t miss the opportunity to tell the person you love that you love them. Take the chance no matter how scared you are,” she said.
The actress further shared that the movie made her think about death - and the importance of life - a lot more.
“‘Yung loss [ni Mika sa movie] kasi is death. I’ve not experienced death as bad as losing a mother… but mas lumawak ‘yung pag-iisip ko about time, about iba't ibang klase ng tao, about the world, ‘yung ibang ways ng pa-handle ng problema natutunan ko dahil kay Mika,” she said.
“Love You to the Stars and Back” is directed by Antoinette Jadaone. It’s now showing in cinemas nationwide.
