"I love you to the moon and back."
This is usually the sentence we use when declaring our great love for someone, so the title of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto's new movie "Love You to the Stars and Back" certainly raised some eyebrows when the title was revealed. What does it mean?
Well, director Antoinette Jadaone cleared up the confusion during her digital conference last Friday, August 19.
She explained that it signifies an even greater kind of love- one that can't be quantified.
"Walang nakakaalam kung gaano talaga kalayo 'yung stars. So kahit gaano pa kalayo 'yun, mamahalin kita, at pabalik pa," she said.
If you think about it, the title is very apt for the movie, as it tells the story of two people who find their greatest love at a young age.
"Ang nakita niyo sa ‘Vince and Kath and James,’ high school love life eh. Ito, true love talaga," Joshua said in a previous interview.
We can't wait to see the love between Mika and Caloy when "Love You to the Stars and Back" premieres on August 30! 💚
