How the original Hashtags guide their new members

They’ve been in the group for about six months already, but the second batch of Hashtags members know they still have a lot to learn and consider themselves as new to the game.

Yes, it’s only been six months since they lined up for auditions and proved themselves worth for a spot in the “It’s Showtime” boy group.

Wilbert Ross recalled that experience on “Magandang Buhay” today, August 17, saying, “Public audition po talaga sa audience entrance kami and sobrang dami. Five days po ‘yung audition no'n. Iba-ibang days. Bawat isa po may kanya-kanyang strength as an artist. Maraming mga new faces, mga pogi.”

They trained under former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Mickey Perz for dancing and worked hard to be able to please their fans. Of course, it didn’t take long before they took it to the heart what being a Hashtags member really means.

Sweet kami, we’re kind, tsaka most especially, brotherhood kami.”

The boys, however, admitted that they are still in the process of getting to know each other. “Well, six months pa lang kami, everyday kami magkasama eh. So we get to know a lot about each other every day. Pero I think it’s gonna take longer para talaga, kasi since matagal pa naman kaming magkakasama, it’s gonna take years din for us to be as bonded. We’re on our way there,” said Franco Hernandez.

Of course, some people can’t help but compare the new members to the ones that came before them, and these guys handle that by standing by each other and taking words from the original members.

Wilbert, Vito, Franco, Maru, and Rayt along with Bugoy Cariño, CK Kieron, and Kid Yambao joined McCoy de Leon, Jimboy Martin, Zeus Collins, Paulo Angeles, Ryle Santiago, Jameson Blake, Nikko Natividad, Tom Doromal, and Ronnie Alonte as part of Hashtags.
