Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid has revealed that 25-year-old singer Marion Aunor will produce his daughter Leila Alcasid's upcoming album under Star Music.

In a story by PUSH today, August 10, Ogie said, “Click sila ni Marion. The songs are amazing. 'Yung draft pa lang… mae-excite kayo 'pag narinig n’yo."

But why did he not personally produce his daughter's first grand foray into the music scene?

“When I talked to Jonathan (Manalo) and to Roxy (Liquigan) ng Star Music, sabi ko, parang mas maganda nga na iba ang producer niya and we all agreed na she should have another producer and that’s Marion Aunor,” Ogie explained.

He said that it would be better if Leila's album will have a younger sound and feel to it.

“Mas okay kasi kung someone who’s much younger than I am. They have the same language, probably have the same sentiments. Kasi kung ako 'yon, hindi ganun lalabas, eh,” he said.
