Former child stars Nash Aguas and Carl Barrameda, both former "Goin’ Bulilit" graduates, opened the Japanese-inspired restaurant Muramen in Manila, last Friday, July 28.
In a report by PUSH last Saturday, July 29, Carl shared that despite the age gap between him and Nash, they were able to develop closeness with each other through the projects they have been together.
“Actually matagal kaming hindi nagkita nito (Nash), at hindi rin kami masyadong close nung bata pa kami, siyempre kasi malaki ‘yung age gap naming dalawa. So, nung nag-start na akong mag-direct sa ABS, so nagkaroon sa 'Luv U' (an ABS-CBN teen sitcom where Nash starred in), nagkaroon ng TV show, nagkaroon ng chance na dun ako mapunta, so nagkaroon ng chance na maging close kami,” Carl said.
Meanwhile, Nash said that both he and Carl are fans of Japanese food, so they made sure that their products will satisfy their taste buds first and foremost.
“Kaya namin naisip na ito ‘yung business kasi ako since bata ramen fan talaga ako, so Japanese food fan, gyoza, beef gyudon, tonkatsu, karaage. So hindi kami papayag na syempre hindi masarap product namin, kasi kaming dalawa, Japanese food lovers kami,” said the teen actor.
Nash shared that their restaurant business has been one year in the making.
“Pinag-uusapan lang namin 'to last year and hindi ako makapaniwala na ngayon opening day na namin. Pressured and at the same time, excited,” he said.
