5 hugot lines from AshLloyd’s ‘GGV’ guesting that will make your heart ache

Although John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo’s guesting on “Gandang Gabi Vice” last night, July 23, was filled with kilig and laughter, there was no shortage of straight to the point  hugot lines.

The two stars’ exchange of lines seemingly pointed to a past, failed love, and while the air was already cleared between them, our hearts couldn’t help but break for what could have been.

Here are five of the most bittersweet yet beautiful lines they said:

1. “Sa tingin ko nung mga panahon na ‘yun [na-in love ako sa kanya].” -  Sarah

The pair was asked if they ever fell for each other, and the Popstar Royalty didn’t shy away from admitting the truth, saying that John Lloyd was so good at conveying emotions onscreen that he’d make you believe they were real.

2. “May mga bagay tayong kailangan nating piliing kalimutan para maka-move on tayo. Kaya minsan akala mo marami akong nakakalimutan kasi kailangan nating maka-survive, kaya may kailangan tayong kalimutan.” - John Lloyd

John Lloyd explained that if a person’s effect on you was whole and true, it would be impossible to forget about them, but choosing to put those memories in the back seat is sometimes the best thing to do in order to keep the friendship alive.

3. “It (watch) symbolizes time, time that we don’t always have.” - John Lloyd

John Lloyd gave Sarah a watch after filming for “It Takes a Man and a Woman,” and it’s such a bittersweet thing because of their story about wrong timing. </3

4. “Been there, done that.” - Sarah

Host Vice Ganda asked Sarah if she will ever fall again, and this is the only response she gave. ANG SHEKEEEEEET.

5. “Mahirap kasi, kasi paano mo sasabihin kung hindi naman uubrang sabihin? Paano mo masasabi kung parang wala ka namang karapatan sabihin?” - John Lloyd

This was John Lloyd’s response when they were asked if they already “finally found someone.” Although he never named the girl, it’s painful to think you never had the right to tell someone you love them <///////3

“Finally Found Someone” is directed by Theodore Boborol. Produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films, it opens in cinemas on July 26.
