Gerald Anderson salutes wounded heroes from Marawi

Gerald Anderson has shown gratitude to the wounded soldiers from the Marawi Terrorist Clash. 

In a Instagram video posted over the weekend, Gerald shared his visit to the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center in Quezon City. 

There, he chatted with the country's servicemen and women wounded in action during the on-going conflict between the Philippine government and ISIL-affiliated militant groups, the Maute, and Abu Sayyaf in Marawi, Lanao del Sur. 

The actor also came with care packages.

Gerald plays a solider himself in the upcoming film "AWOL" where he is Lt. Abel Ibarra who, armed with his tactical knowledge and deadly skills, goes on a quest to protect his family from the man who masterminded the attempt on his life and his loved ones. 

The film is directed by Enzo Williams. 

"AWOL" is Skylight Films and Cinebro's official entry to the 2017 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino which will run from August 16 to 22.
