Whenever we’re down in the dumps and need some advice, we normally consult an ate or kuya who we believe is wiser in all ways.

But in a strange turn of events, it seems even the younger kids that we often tag as childish and immature also have their own brand of wisdom, and one of them is Ylona Garcia!

The young star started an #AskYlona Twitter party last night, June 27, and apart from a slew of new things we discovered about her, Ylona also gave a lot of super solid advice anyone can use in life!

Here are some of them:

1. When she was on-point on what to look for in a significant other

A lot of us usually list physical qualities such as “tall, dark and handsome” when describing our dream boyfriends, but Ylona has other attributes in mind when looking for the perfect partner. “Dedication and honesty” are two of those, and they’re definitely must-adds to our lists!

2. When her favorite quote was about being kind

We’re all pretty selfish in our own ways, but Ylona reminded us that a little bit of kindness goes a long way, especially when you want kindness in return! “Treat others how you would want to be treated ♥️” she said.

3. When she gave the perfect motivation to keep going

Everyone has times when they want to quit everything they’re doing, and Ylona has the perfect response to people who want to give up: remember why you started. Take it from her, who started as a “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate and is now slowly making her way to the top!

4. When she finds happiness in the littlest things

Ylona revealed that she gets kilig whenever someone tells her she’s worth it, and the lesson we can pick up from there is to always say something nice to people. You can easily make someone’s day with a good word and a smile! ☺❤

5. When she had the same fears as all of us

The greatest treasure in our lives is our loved ones, and we’d all probably go crazy if we lose them. Ylona feels the exact same way, and it’s nice that the Generation Z stereotype of valuing things over people has been shattered because of her. ❤

Keep doing you, Ylona! ❤
