Aga Muhlach is set to return to the big screen in the upcoming Star Cinema film "Seven Sundays" alongside A-list actors Dingdong Dantes, Cristine Reyes, and Enrique Gil with Mr. Ronaldo Valdez.
According to the film's director Cathy Garcia-Molina, "Seven Sundays" will be a family comedy-drama where Aga will play Allan while Dingdong, Cristine, Enrique and Ronaldo will portray Bryan, Charisse, Dexter and Manuel, respectively.
She said, "Basically it's another family com-dram just like 'Four Sisters and a Wedding' but this one with a different flavor."
During the film's Story Conference held today, June 27, the box office director expressed how nervous she is to direct Aga for the first time.
"I'm so scared...lagi akong [assistant director] lang niya since 'Basta't Kasama Kita' (1995) tapos sunud-sunod nagiging [assistant director] niya ako tapos tuwing sasabihin niya, binibiro niya ako na 'O, kailan tayo?' ako, 'Ayoko nga!'"
"Hanggang ngayon ayaw ko par in po!" Direk Cathy joked, drawing laughs from the press.
She explained, "Aga Muhlach na kasi siya eh. I will always feel like a newbie. I am very honored na pumayag siyang i-direct ko siya. I am excited as much as scared."
"Seven Sundays" will be Aga's first film in almost six years, the last being "Of All The Things" with Regine Velasquez and directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal back in 2012.
"Ninenerbyos ako, ngayon lang ako ulit gagawa ng pelikula," the legendary actor said. "I'm excited also, this is the first time I'll be working with Cathy... mas masaya ako kesa sa ninenerbyos."
Aga also expressed his excitement in working with Enrique for the very first time!
"Gusto ko makita 'yung 'pag pinagkakaguluhan siya!" Aga quipped.
According to Direk Cathy, "Seven Sundays" is pegged to be released this year.
