#LaLunaSangreAngPanganib Scene of the Day: Family on the run

On last night’s (June 22) episode of “La Luna Sangre,” vampires under Sandrino’s (Richard Guiterrez) command followed through on his order to kill every seven-year--old girl with wolf blood.

This caused a huge problem for La Liga Unida, what with all the crying mothers and their blaming vampires for their daughters’ deaths. Though Frederick (Victor Neri) was strong in his decision as leader of the council to protect Malia (Erika Clemente) from Sandrino, his wife Veruska (Ina Raymundo) thought differently and did what her husband couldn’t--tell the new Supremo of vampires where Mateo (John Lloyd Cruz) and Lia (Angel Locsin) were hiding with their daughter. As exciting as that scene must have been--betrayal’s always a crowd-pleaser--that isn’t our scene of the day!

With the impending doom looming over the Rodriguez family’s heads, Mateo and Lia finally agreed to take Malia away from their home and to bring her somewhere safe. The morning of their leaving is our scene of the day! Why?

  • The way Lia tried to disguise Malia as a boy by dressing her in army greens, a baggy shirt, and a camouflage cap that held her hair up (cute getup. Took a lesson from Mulan, huh?)
  • How Malia was confused when her mom said they needed her to look like a boy (Mateo and Lia’s reactions were so funny! I mean, okay, it’s a serious situation, but really, the way their eyes bulged when they realized their slip made me laugh. Great job, John Lloyd and Angel!)
  • Lia’s smooth save when she explained Malia would be playing “Lieutenant Colonel Malia Rodriguez” for the day, “ang magbabantay kina Nanay at Tatay habang nasa biyahe” (smooth, Lia. Real smooth.)
  • And, of course, Malia’s all for protecting her family (her spirit’s fierce, I’ll give her that).

Will the family be able to get far enough away to keep Malia safe? Tune in tonight for an all-new episode of “La Luna Sangre” on Primetime Bida after “FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.”
