Sandara Park gets appointed as Korea's Friendship Ambassador to PH

To the great joy of the Philippines’ Korean sweetheart, Sandara Park has officially been named the Friendship Ambassador to the Philippines. 
 
Sandara posted photos of the ceremony on her Instagram account last June 14, thanking everyone for choosing her to be the ambassador.

She wrote in the caption, “This is an honor for me. πŸ™πŸ» I want to thank everyone who have loved and supported me throughout this journey. Maraming salamat!!! Mahal ko kayo!!! πŸ˜€πŸ™πŸ»” 
 
Sandara also posted a short video of her speech on her Twitter account. She proudly accepted the responsibility as she promised to continue “representing and promoting the diverse beauties of the Philippines.” 
 

 


 
The ceremony was held during the 119th Philippine Independence Day and the 22nd Migrant Workers’ Day celebration at Banpo Park in Han River, Seoul, South Korea. 
 
Sandara was a former member of the now disbanded K-pop girl group 2NE1. Her career began in 2004 when she took part in ABS-CBN’s talent search "Star Circle Quest." She recently did a cameo in “My Ex and Whys”, a blockbuster Star Cinema film starring Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.
