Angel Locsin is still braving the fallen city of Marawi.
The actress flew to Mindanao last June 8 to visit and volunteer at evacuation centers in Iligan City and eventually, Marawi City with the help of Kalinaw Mindanao and Rural Missionaries of the Philippines.
According to a report by Reggee Bonoan in the tabloid Balita, Angel is part of the Maranao Royal Family in Marawi as her mother is an adopted princess and her grandfather is one of the 15 Sultanates from the province, making Angel a legitimate Maranao Princess.

Angel has been lauded for her quiet heroism in the face of the Mindanao terrorist conflict, and in a series of Instagram posts last night, June 10, she rallied for peace in Marawi.
She shared this heartwarming photo, and in the caption, wrote. “Poor helping the poor ❤️.”
Angel is coming back to television on "La Luna Sangre" alongside John Lloyd Cruz, Richard Gutierrez, Kathryn Bernardo, and Daniel Padilla. It will premiere this June 19 on Primetime Bida!
