Arci Munoz has officially declared herself as a FREE woman.
Early this year, Arci announced that she broke it off with long-time beau, musician Badi del Rosario (known in the local music scene as Mr. Bones), and for a while there, she was very candid about being "hopia" na magkakabalikan pa sila.
But apparently, not anymore.
During the Grand Press Conference of her upcoming film "Can We Still Be Friends?", Arci said to members of the press that she's done hoping for a reconciliation and has fully moved on from their four-year relationship.
"Marami pong mga bagay na nangyari. Everything's been said and done so...wala na po talagang chance."
When asked why, Arci revealed, "Nakita kong masaya na siya," and added, "'Di ko alam [kung meron na talagang iba], may kwento-kwento, pero 'di na kasi ako nagtatanong. Okay na ako."
With Arci in "Can We Still Be Friends?" is her "Always Be My Maybe" leading man Gerald Anderson.
"Can We Still Be Friends?" is centered on Digs (Gerald) – a no fuss, no frills kind of guy – and idealistic achiever Sam (Arci) who are friends turned lovers turned exes. Their relationship as a couple lasted for almost eight years until they both decided on an amicable breakup. As they face the dating world separately, the ex-couple consistently check on each other under the guise of “friendship.” This turns into a competition on who will find a new relationship first only to find out that one of them is still in love with the other.
Directed by Prime Cruz and with a screenplay written by Jen Chuaunsu, Can We Still Be Friends is a love story that celebrates the indomitable millennial spirit as it attempts to ask the proverbial question: can exes really be friends?
Can We Still Be Friends also assembles a remarkable millennial supporting cast led by Bryan Santos, Ria Atayde, Brian Sy, Gege Severo, Erika Padilla, Markki Stroem, and Emmanuelle Vera.
"Can We Still Be Friends?" hits all theaters nationwide starting June 14.
