Liza Soberano has shed light on her emotional Instagram post of Enrique Gil's visit to his late father's grave last May 19. 

The actress explained, in a report by PUSH:

“Kasi ‘yung birthday ng Daddy ni [Enrique is] May 17, ‘yung day na iyon ‘yung mom (Bambi) niya ginigising siya pero hindi makabangon si Quen dahil medyo masama ‘yung pakiramdam niya so ‘yung mom niya pumunta mag-isa. Usually ‘yung mommy niya may kasamang kapatid niya, si Andie."

She continued, "So the next day nag-text si Quen, ‘Pwede mo ba akong samahan pumunta sa Papa ko?’, kasi sabi niya ‘I feel bad I wasn’t able to go,’ so sinamahan ko po siya."

According to the actress, she was deeply moved by Enrique's interaction with his father.

“Medyo naging sad ako kasi kinausap niya ‘yung Papa niya na as if his Papa was just there," she related. "Parang na-realize ko kung gaano kabilis ang buhay and how we should appreciate things in life."

The actress added that the visit also changed her perspective on her relationship with her own father (John Soberano), saying, "Siyempre ako I have a dad and I fight with him a lot, siyempre normal lang naman ‘yun pero you know, ngayon nari-realize ko swerte pala ako kasi may papa ako and si Quen wala na siyang papa."

Liza and Enrique starred in the blockbuster hit "My Ex and Whys" and are part of an upcoming Star Creatives series.
