4 things we learned from Gong Yoo's one-on-one with Kuya Kim

There's no greater moment to want to be in someone else's place than when you saw Kuya Kim Atienza sitting right next to "Goblin" star Gong Yoo and breathing the same holy air as him.

Because if you were Kuya Kim (Shin) - arguably Gong Yoo's ultimate kalokalike here in the Philippines - you'd have a million questions to ask ze ahjussi, but we have to give it to the resident #MatangGoblin for he had really meaty ones.

Aired yesterday, May 22, on "Matanglawin," we picked up four things from the interview that gave us a peek into Gong Yoo's awesome personality (Note: We translated the Taglish quotes to English).

1. He has a heart for animals.

"I model for a campaign that has an advocacy (to ban animal testing in the beauty industry). I've always wanted to join an advocacy like that. I love animals. I want to visit the zoo. I have pet cats (Scottish Fold and Egyptian Mau)," he explained.
.
2. He has another dream job?!

The "Train To Busan" actor revealed, "I'm not sure if my fans know, but I wanted to be an advertiser. I want to produce commercials. If I wasn't an actor, I would want to have a job that's behind the camera. I'd also like to be an athlete."

3. He has a thing about LOVE.

"To the youth, you must study hard. But it's also important to stay healthy," Gong Yoo said, addressing the Filipino youth. "You don't have to have big dreams, but it's important that you're able to help others. Know in your heart what it is that would really make you happy. Love yourself so that you can also love others."

4. Gong Yoo can definitely pass as an emoji.

Well, in this case, four.

The Tagalized version of "Goblin" airs weeknights on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida.
