While there's stiff competition all around them, Nash Aguas says his boy band Gimme 5 are refusing to compete through comparisons.
In an interview with PUSH yesterday, May 9 during Gimme 5's "Sophomore" album launch, Nash shared that as the most experienced member of the boy group, he guides Grae Fernandez, John Bermundo, Joaquin Reyes, and Brace Arquiza into keeping the focus on the music, and not on one-upping other groups.
He said, "Sinasabi ko sa [kanila na] 'wag silang makipag-kumpitensya, kumbaga 'wag nilang isipin na 'huy may ganitong boy band kailangan mas magaling tayo, kailangan mas okay, kailangan mas stylish tayo' or something. Sinasabi ko mas importante na ini-enjoy mo ‘yung ginagawa mo 'saka ginagalingan namin everytime."
He continued, "Kumbaga ‘yung sa mga paligid namin 'di namin gaano pinapansin basta masaya kami, ginagalingan namin, binibigay namin ang best namin. 'Yun ‘yung mahalaga."
Aside from a music career, Nash is also set to return to television with "Kung Kailangan Mo Ako" with his leading lady, Alexa Ilacad. They will join Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador (ElNella), McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson (McLisse), and Joshua Garcia for the sweeping family drama.
