A perfect day with Ronnie Alonte

Some things never change.

You may say that he’s a better version of himself now, but Ronnie Alonte is still that easygoing hardcourt cutie from Laguna.

No skylines or gigantic shopping malls can lure the probinsyano out of him and he plans to stay that way.

Ronnie confessed this in an interview with Star Studio magazine held in the comfort of his family home in Biñan, Laguna.

“Masaya kasi lahat ng napagdaanan ko, dito. Dito ako kumportable,” he said.

The Kapamilya actor then shared one of the reasons why moving to Metro Manila is unsuitable for him.

Ano gagawin mo? Pero lahat kakilala ko na dito. Kahit may magnakaw sa amin dito, magtutulungan ‘yan lahat. Ganu’n dito,” Ronnie explained.

For someone who just had two Metro Manila Film Festival entries, series of concerts, clothing line endorsements, a couple of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episodes, and an ongoing teleserye titled “A Love To Last” under his belt, you would think the perfect day for a rising star like Ronnie would be made up of trips to exotic destinations or some extravagant activity. But his is nowhere near that.

After 4 p.m, punta kami sa half-court magba-basketball. After basketball, dinner. After dinner, tambay sa mga kaibigan. Minsan, chill lang. After nu’n, tulog,” he continued. ‘Yun mismo.”

But this probisyano has some big dreams too. And Ronnie being him, still wants to keep it sweet and simple.

And after nu’n, gusto ko magkaroon ng apartment for rent rin,” he shared.
