How Sarah plans to coach teens on ‘The Voice’

The big smile we see on Sarah Geronimo’s pretty face every week whenever a contestant chooses her as a coach on “The Voice Teens” comes from sincere gratitude.

In an interview with PUSH, the Popstar Royalty shared it really does bring her confidence every time someone picks her amongst the show’s A-list row of coaches.

"Siyempre may Ms. Lea Salonga, may coach Bamboo at may Sharon Cuneta pa. Para piliin ka, ibang tiwala 'yung binigay sa ‘yo," she said. “Iba 'yung pinagkakatiwalaan ka."

She added, "Walang pa-humble effect pero every time may pumipili sa akin na maging coach." Then she described the feeling as, “Para kang nanalo sa lotto.”

The talent show has been receiving positive feedback while also doing great in the TV ratings since it premiered last April 16.

"Siyempre I am happy for the whole team and para sa mga teenagers kasi talagang iba din 'yung galing nila. Inabangan din ng mga tao,” she said and expressed that she’s just as excited as everyone to see more from the teens.

Sarah noticed that teens now are more open about how they feel, which she thinks everyone should treat with respect.

"Ang teenagers ngayon, talagang they have a mind of their own, medyo opinionated at outspoken din," she said. "It's important that we show our respect din sa kanila. Pero as coaches, siyempre role namin is to guide them. Balanse lang kumabaga. Titimplahin natin 'yung mga bagets.”
