Jodi talks about a ‘milestone’ in son Thirdy’s life
How Jodi feels about son Thirdy growing up and having crushes
Jodi Sta. Maria couldn’t hide her joy when asked about her son Panfilo “Thirdy” Lacson III moving on from the sixth grade.
“Iba pala ‘yung feeling ano?” she said in an interview last Tuesday, April 18. “Kumbaga isang milestone na naman 'yung dumaan sa hindi lang ng buhay ko, kung hindi ng anak ko, naka-graduate na siya and ngayon magge-grade 7 na siya. Kung wala pang K-12, first year high school na ‘yun!”
“Talagang may binata na 'ko,” she added. “Parang iniisip ko, ‘Wow, time flies so fast.’ Parang yesterday lang, ang baby-baby niya! Tapos ngayon, may binata na 'ko!”
The Kapamilya actress also shared how she felt during that moment she witnessed Thirdy taking a step towards his future.
She said, “Nakakatuwa lang na nandoon ka, nakaupo, pinapanood mo siya, nagma-martsa.”
While some moms may worry about losing their “babies” as they grow up, Jodi knows it’s something that can’t be avoided and she has just accepted it.
“It’s inevitable. Hindi ko naman pwedeng pigilan ‘yung pagtanda niya o paglaki niya. Talagang darating at darating din eh,” she explained. “Kaya ‘yun.”
And with growing up, comes having crushes. How does Jodi feel about that?
“I think it’s normal din naman kung magka-crush siya,” she answered.
While she didn’t get much into details about it, Jodi admitted that Thirdy is open to her about it.
“I think kung ano 'yung maganda doon sa relationship namin ni Thirdy, we’re very open to each other,” she ended.
Jodi is starring in an upcoming film titled “Dear Other Self” with Xian Lim and Joseph Marco. The film is directed by Veronica Velasco and is slated to be released soon.
