Fighting is never easy, and it gets even harder when you have to face all your problems while the whole world is watching.
Celebrities are never given a break, no matter what they’re going through. In good times and in bad times, people will always, always have something to say about their business.
For us regular people, the constant pressure can drive us crazy, but celebrities have always managed to clean up the mess they’ve gotten into gracefully.
Here, we review some highly-publicized celebrity feuds and how they resolved their conflicts with class and poise.
Julia Barretto and Dennis Padilla
It was in 2014 when everyone was shookt by Julia’s petition to legally drop her father’s surname Baldivia, and bashers rejoiced. The issue further propelled Julia’s image as a bratty, mataray kontrabida.
Even though things got complicated, Dennis didn't miss Julia's debut for the world which happened in 2015.
The father and daughter continued to fix their relationship in 2016, and even went on gym dates together.
In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, she said she’s glad they’re taking time to fix things.
“As a daughter, it makes me really happy because at the end of the day, he’s still my dad. No matter what, gusto ko sa huli okay kami, walang hard feelings,” she said.
2017 is looking to be a good year for the pair, as they’ve continued to remain in good terms.
Last February, they bonded over Japanese food together with Dennis’ son Luis.
Jodi Sta. Maria and Iwa Moto
To say that Jodi and Iwa had a bit of a rocky start would be an understatement.
The issue started in 2012, when Iwa came forward and claimed that Jodi had an affair while she was still married to Pampi Lacson. The catch? It was Iwa’s former husband Mickey Ablan that Jodi was allegedly involved with.
Pampi and Iwa eventually became a couple and had a baby girl in 2013. Jodi reached out to Iwa by giving her a book on breastfeeding.
Their relationship grew even stronger through the years, and Iwa even checked on Jodi after she got injured while filming for “Dear Other Self.”
Iwa and Pampi also joined Jodi to celebrate son Thirdy’s graduation early this month.
Piolo Pascual and Sharon Cuneta
The Megastar had quite a few words for the Ultimate Leading Man after his breakup with daughter KC Concepcion in 2011.
It was only in 2015 when the two patched things up, during ABS-CBN executive Charo Santos-Concio’s birthday party.
She recounted the reconciliation on her Facebook account, and described it as “one of the best gifts God gave me this year."
“I was in my wheelchair amongst friends and I didn't see him coming," she said. "He hugged me tight and when I looked at his face, I hugged him back so tight.”
She added, “I am sorry that you and my baby had to end your relationship, and I am sorry for how very publicly I made my emotions known.”
Life is certainly filled with drama and conflicts, but there’s definitely nothing that a little time and an apology can’t fix.
After all, all’s well that ends well, right?
