Direk Mae, Matteo share Holy Week plans
How will Direk Mae and Matteo spend their Holy Week?
Holy Week is an excellent way to repent, reflect, and meditate about the importance of the death of our Savior. But what makes it more special? You will have the chance to reconnect with your family while doing those things.
Just like "Can't Help Falling In Love" director Mae Cruz-Alviar and cast member Matteo Guidicelli. The two will take a break from their film's promotional activities and make use of their short spiritual break to be with their families and their creator.
"I've been working so hard and it's really traditional for us na to keep the religious tradition. We'll be in Manila and then magvi-Visita Iglesia tapos hopefully I could go to our province in Bulacan kasi mayroon kaming santo na pino-procession," Direk Mae shared at their film's Bloggers Conference last week. "That's (a) very long procession. Normally Black Saturday we have our Easter salubong."
The blockbuster director admitted that it's something they do every year.
"Usually kumpleto kami na pamilya ginagawa 'yon. As in talagang we go to different churches. Sometimes provinces pa."
Like Direk Mae, Matteo's family also do the yearly Visita Iglesia.
"For Easter Sunday and Black Saturday we usually do the rounds in church especially with my Filipino lola's side," the Kapamilya singer-actor shared.
Reflecting on his 27 years of existence, Matteo revealed his life's turning point.
"I don't think I have one situation. I think it's many situations. And I realized these things years after," the Kapamilya actor said.
He added, "Like I always tell my friends, I'm so excited to grow old. Not to grow old, become old, but the wisdom, age, the wisdom, experience. It's something magical, it's something nobody can teach.
"People that are older are wiser. More wisdom. So things like this is a progress along the way. It's not just one event, but it's a succession of events."
"Can't Help Falling In Love" stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
In the film, Gab (Kathryn) is a "close to perfect girl" who's already set to wed her long-time boyfriend Jayson (Matteo). But her world suddenly turns upside down when she discovers that she is already married - but to a total stranger named Dos (Daniel)!
As she figures out with Dos how this unlikely incident happened between them, Gab starts breaking her own rules to survive their crazily confusing situation. But with the changes in her well-planned life seems to come a change of heart as well. Oh no!
Will she walk down the aisle towards her long-time lover, or will she take the plunge with a perfect stranger?
Let's all find out the answer to these questions this April 15 when this "kilig" summer surprise hits cinemas!
