Kisses on ‘PBB’ journey: Not about the title and prize
No regrets, just love for Kisses Delavin
There’s nothing in Kisses Delavin’s life that she regrets. She’s the type of girl who believes that everything happens for a reason and learns from them.
“Naniniwala naman po ako na lahat ng nangyari, they taught you a lesson and naging stronger ka and better because of it,” she shared on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” last Wednesday, March 8.
But when asked if there’s any moment in her life that she would want to relive or change, Kisses thought of those times she failed to believe in herself.
“Kasi even 'yung mga confident na mga tao, nai-insecure din sila minsan. And I wish I changed that,” she said. “Na-realize ko na kailangan, kahit anong mangyari, unwavering 'yung tiwala mo sa sarili mo. 'Yung confidence niyo po.”
Doubters would probably have expected Kisses to say that she would go back to change some things in her stay inside the “Pinoy Big Brother” house during the recently concluded "Lucky Season 7" edition and alter her fate in the competition, but she is content and proud with what she’s reached.
“I’m very, very happy sa kung ano po 'yung na-achieve ko which is 'yung 2nd Big Placer. I’m very happy,” she said.
Besides, Kisses thinks winning isn’t defined by what the eyes can only see.
She said, “I believe na 'yung tagumpay mo, it’s not about the title, it’s not about the prize. It’s about what you achieve sa sarili mo. I’ve made my parents very proud.”
Kisses added that her close friend Maymay Entrata is worthy of being the Big Winner. “I think, and I believe na si Ate Maymay, 'yung pagkapanalo niya, she deserves it.”
Aside from the 2nd Big Placer prizes that she received, plus her newfound fame, Kisses also counts knowing her former housemates as something to be glad about.
“'Yung naging best achievement ko naman po, binuksan ko 'yung puso ko naman. Tumaba po 'yung puso ko kasi 'yung pinapasok ko 11 siblings,” said Kisses.
