Piolo Pascual named as Optical Media Board Ambassador

Piolo Pascual is the Optical Media Board’s newest ambassador.

According to their website, the Optical Media Board is an organization dedicated to preventing piracy in the entertainment industry.

“My role as an ambassador is to create awareness,” Piolo said during the “Northern Lights” press conference yesterday, March 1. “I believe in what the agency stands for, which is anti-piracy in TV, music and cinema. ‘Yun lang 'yung pinaka-battle cry namin.”

For his part, Piolo couldn’t be happier over being named ambassador.

“It’s a privilege. It’s an opportunity to use your celebrity status for the right reason… You put your best foot forward and use your influence to spread the cause. Malaking karangalan sa'kin ‘yun,” he related.

Piolo’s upcoming film “Northern Lights” opens in cinemas on March 29. It also stars Yen Santos and Raikko Mateo.
