‘I Can Do That!’ candidates tease what’s coming on the show

The newest celebrity reality-talent show is here and there are loads of things to be excited about it!

“I Can Do That” will test the will and imagination of eight I CANdidates, Kapamilya actresses Cristine Reyes, Arci Munoz, Pokwang, and Sue Ramirez. TV heartthrobs Daniel Matsunaga and JC Santos are in it too, also dancer-performer Gab Valenciano, and comedian Wacky Kiray.

At the press conference for the show yesterday, March 2, the I CANdidates teased about what they have faced on the show so far and what should the viewers expect from it.

1. Nerve-wracking stunts

Cristine: “'Yung first act na ginawa po namin lahat kami nahirapan. Nahirapan talaga kami. Hindi lang nahirapan, kinabahan… Talagang... first time kasi naming lahat gagawin 'yung act so feeling naming para kang pinaparusahan sa sobrang kaba.”

2. Unexpected team-ups

May factor na you can underestimate kasi siyempre nagpe-perform na ko so para sa akin maybe I can do it. So by the time we start rehearsing parang, ‘Oh my God, parang mali yata 'yung pinili ko.’ Pero kung pinili ko naman 'yung isa, parang mahirap din so it’s a very, very challenging show. But at the same time I believe because it’s that challenging, it’s that unique, 'yung relationship namin nafa-fast track… kasi siyempre may partnering factor.”

3. Something new and different for the celebs every week

Arci: “Of course it’s really hard kasi it’s not the usual thing that we do everyday.

4. Newbies trying out what the pros can do

So mararamdaman namin 'yung pinagdaanan nila, 'yung ginawa nilang ganyan, 'yung 40 years, seven years na nilang ginagawa everyday, kasama namin sila. Sila 'yung nagga-guide sa amin, nagtuturo sa amin. Ang galing eh… Matutunan mo yung pinagdaanan nila. Magiging inspiration mo sila.”

5. A variety of Pinoy talents

Alam mo lahat ng performers dito, they’re super talented. Talagang mga Pinoy, and when we try to do 'yung mga challenges, makikita namin na sobrang mahirap.”

6. Physically challenging acts

‘Pag nakita niyo kami talagang pasa-pasa kami.”

7. Unexpected twists

JC: “It’s a very unusual show kasi magpapakita sila ng talents ‘di ba, minsan kala mo, ‘Ah imposible magawa ‘to.’ O kala mo, ‘Talaga ba? Magagawa ‘to ng one week?’ May gano'n.

8. Heart in every challenges

Sue: “Siguro po in my case kasi una naging mentor ko, first week, kahit sa kamag-anak nila ‘di nila tinuro 'yung skill na meron sila pero binahagi sa amin, so malaking-malaking bagay po ‘yun. Sobrang na-appreciate namin ‘yun. So talaga ‘tong show na ‘to, may puso talaga siya. So more than anything else, more than winning, more than getting the points, mas gusto talaga namin na ma-proud sa amin 'yung mga mentors namin. Basta happy sila okay na po kami.”

Hosted by Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga, “I Can Do That” premieres on March 11 only on ABS-CBN!
