The 5 essential Frankie Pangilinan covers you need in your life now
Frankie Pangilinan is the new star girl in town!

Frankie is, as we know, Megastar Sharon Cuneta's daughter with her husband Senator Francis Pangilinan, and she possesses a voice that is so heartbreakingly profound that it's sort of confusing that it's attached to a 16-year-old.

Frankie is currently on Soundcloud, and she began uploading tracks nine months ago. Since then she has shared five covers for public consumption, all of which are, to put it lightly, astoundingly amaze-balls.

She also had a smattering of performances here and there, all of which point to the same fact: she's a worthy heiress to the Megastar crown.

Here are five of her most powerful covers:

1. Mr. DJ by Sharon Cuneta

You can tell how unique Frankie's voice is because though she was sharing the spotlight with her phenomenal mother, she's still able to stand out and give a fresh spin on a classic.

Also, can I just say, ang sarap pakinggan ng "Mr. DJ".

2. "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?"

Zooey Deschanel famously covered this song with her "500 Days of Summer" co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt and it was great, but I can confidently say that Frankie's is light years better.

Kahit wala kang love life, kikiligin ka sa boses ni Frankie sa kantang 'to.

3. Sia's "Chandelier"

Frankie's most powerful cover is arguably her version of Sia's "Chandelier," a song that pushes her vocal power to its limit.

You can tell that Frankie's really proud the song came out great because of the little laugh we hear after the track, followed by a satisfied, "Yaaaas!"

4. Foster The People's "Pumped Up Kicks"

Frankie shows us amazing vocal restraint and yes, her guitar skills in her cover of Foster The People's 2011 indie hit.

5. Édith Piaf's "La Vie en Rose"

"La Vie en Rose" was the first cover Frankie ever shared and just for that reason, we hold it dear in our hearts. Also, she has a delicious way of  pronouncing "La Vie en Rose" that will make you crave escargot, so there's that.

Life will always be la vie en rose because Frankie is set to perform on "ASAP" this Sunday, March 26, together with Ogie Alcasid's daughter Leila and Gary Valenciano's daughter (and Frankie's cousin) Kiana.
