There will be no songs in 'Mulan' and Nadine Lustre is not here for it
Who is that girl you see upset about the "Mulan" controversy?

Probably Nadine Lustre, who like many hardcore fans of the beloved Disney classic, was not ecstatic when news broke that its live-action remake will scrap first, the original's musical aspect, and second, "rework" General Shang Li's role.

Nadine took to Twitter last night, March 22, and hilariously roasted the changes.

Despite the remake's director Niki Caro's assurances that a "Mulan" without the songs will be "…a big, girly martial arts epic" and "will be extremely muscular and thrilling and entertaining and moving", fans were still outraged that the film's hits such as  “Reflection”, “A Girl Worth Fighting For", "Honor to Us All" and "I’ll Make a Man Out of You" will be rid of their well-deserved time in the spotlight.

In an unexpected move, the legendary Lea Salonga who gave Fa Mulan her singing voice for the 1998 animated original, veered from the angry mob and was forgiving about the changes.

The award-winning actress-singer wrote in a tweet last March 21, "So what do I think about the live-action Mulan not having the songs? I think it's pretty cool! Let the film be a different thing altogether!"

Well, different folks, different strokes.

What do you think? Music or no music for "Mulan"? Tell us in the comments section below!
