Here's how love won for Francis and Christian Mark
Getting a shot at forever was in no means easy for famed fashion designer Francis Libiran and his husband businessman Christian Mark Jacobs, but it was well worth the effort.

In an interview with "TV Patrol" that aired last night, March 20, the newlyweds spoke about the challenges they faced while planning their Boracay "celebration of love."

"We had a lot of challenges along the way," Francis said. "I mean, we would get suppliers who would turn us down because it's a same-sex marriage."

The designer continued, "Reading comments online, some would bash us on what we did about the marriage but a lot are praising us in doing this move."

According to Francis, his father initially did not approve of the marriage either, but relented eventually.

"I'm happy that my Dad finally approved," Francis said.

The couple, who first met in a cafe in Paris, are also hoping that their marriage could affect change in the largely conservative Philippines.

Christian Mark enthused, "I hope minds would change and it sends a positive message to people in the Philippines."

Due to the fact that the Boracay ceremony was not legally binding, Francis and Christian Mark are planning an intimate marriage ceremony in the United States next year.

They are planning to adopt a baby girl.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
