"My Ex and Whys," starring Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, is Star Cinema's offering this season of love.
The film follows the story of Cali, played by Liza, a blogger who owns an up and coming blog "The Bakit List." She uses this account to vent out all her bitter feelings and questions towards her ex Gio, played by Enrique. One day, an opportunity of a lifetime came to Cali, but it wasn't without a "catch:" to work with her ex Gio.
Cali agreed to work with her ex but alongside this "work" is her "plan" for vengeance.
Playing the lead characters Cali and Gio is "challenging"(that's according to LizQuen) because it's something far from who they are in real life and their experiences.
At the Star Cinema Chat yesterday, February 7, Liza was asked to give advice to her character in the film.
"She needs to learn how to forgive and not hold grudges because mas mahirap ang buhay 'pag laging may kaaway. 'Pag kita mo sa kanya parang sira na buong araw mo. Dapat chill lang," the beautiful actress said.
Enrique, on the other hand, was asked to enumerate his own ways in proving his love to a girl, taking off from Gio's dilemma of winning back Cali.
"A lot of ways," Enrique explained. "Sobrang simple na lang pero minsan 'di mo pa nakikita sa isang lalaki na 'yun ang gustung-gusto ng isang babae. Basta lahat gagawin ko para sa mahal ko."
Liza and Enrique also shared their favorite scenes in the film.
"Gusto ko dun 'yung nasa Korea kami. 'Yung eksena namin 'dun sa Nami Island, 'dun sa may trees. Kasi super Korean talaga ang dating, all the leaves. Kasi 'yung trees and all the temples was the most korean feel sa lahat ng scenes namin," Enrique related.
Liza has a different scene in her mind.
"Ako po 'yung pinaka-favorite scene ko din 'yung sa Korea, pero 'yung sa Myeongdong, basta may hinahanap po kami do'n. Sama-sama kami do'n, tapos sobrang lamig. And also at the same time nakapag-shopping kami nang very light."
"My Ex and Whys" is LizQuen's newest movie following their 2015 blockbuster film "Everyday I Love You."
The film, directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, will be out in cinemas starting Feb. 15!
