We are down to the last month of the year, and it's a period when we inevitably contemplate what changed over time and think of the things we are most grateful for.
For the young stars of the Kapamilya Gold series, "Hanggang Saan," it has been a year full of events, projects, and challenges.
Sue Ramirez, Yves Flores, Marlo Mortel, and Maris Racal shared the things they appreciate the most this year, and what they are looking forward to achieving.
For the 21-year-old Sue, every project that came her way is something to be thankful for.
"Ang dami eh, sobra. It's everyday that I'm thankful for all the blessings. Ang dami kong trabaho this year, meron akong 'La Luna Sangre', and this ('Hanggang Saan') came in. Sobrang happy ko lang," she said.
But Sue feels that she needs to make up some time with her mother. She said, "Siguro ang main realization ko this year is gusto kong bumawi sa mommy ko talaga."
Like Sue, "Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4" former housemate Yves Flores feels grateful for the projects that he's been given. He also expressed how much thankful he is to have a happy family by his side.
"Thankful ako sa lahat ng binigay sa akin ng ABS-CBN na projects. From 'Bloody Crayons', and ito namang patapos 'yung year, binigyan ako ng 'Hanggang Saan'. And thankful ako dahil happy 'yung family ko, buo pa rin kami at masaya. Sana more projects pa rin and sana masaya lang 'yung 2018 ko. Wish ko ang good health sa family ko, 'wag lang sila magkasakit."
We know that Marlo has been facing a family crisis with his mother battling cancer. He organized a benefit concert for his mother, and he's very appreciative of the people who extended their support.
"Pinaka-thankful ako na madaming sumuporta ng benefit concert ko recently, 'yung para sa mommy ko na may cancer. Kasi actually medyo hirap na po talaga kami emotionally and of course financially unstable na because of the sickness. Pero because of that, marami din pong tumulong na mga nasa showbiz, dahil dun super thankful ako. Kahit papa'no, ngayon, tuluy-tuloy pa rin naming napapagamot 'yung mama ko."
In 2018, Marlo is also looking forward to doing more of the things he's passionate about: music.
Meanwhile, Maris said that this 2017, she became genuinely happy.
"Naging happy ako, sobra. Genuinely. Sa career, heart, family, naging masaya ako," she enthused.
For the year to come, the 20-year-old wants to achieve more of her dreams in the music scene, such as to create more songs, as well as to stage a concert.
What a year it has been! It's great to know from these young stars that they give value to their work and their family. Here's to more memories in 2018!
