Zanjoe ‘recharged’ after iEmmy nomination

Actor Zanjoe Marudo shared in an interview with PUSH that being nominated for the International Emmy Awards has motivated him to do more work.

“Mas na-inspire ako at ginaganahan akong magtrabaho. Nakaka-ano siya eh, parang nare-recharge,” he said.

And his dream project? A film about our country for the world to see so they can understand the Philippines more.

“Pinapanood ko kasi ang mga trailers nila [sa iEmmys] and ganun eh, nakadikit talaga ang kultura ng bansa, kaya sila na-nominate at kaya sila nananalo,” he explained.

He said that meeting various stars at the iEmmys opened his eyes to whole new world of possibilities.

“Hindi lang tayo Asian actors, actors tayo period. Hindi tayo nakakahon dito,” Zanjoe said.

“Kasi nung hindi pa ako nakaka-experience ng ganun, ang utak ko nandito lang sa atin eh, sa ABS-CBN. And then 'yung trabaho ko, parang ginagawa ko siya para mabigay ko ang gusto ng mga bossing pero ngayon parang hindi na. Parang mas malaking mundo ang pwede kong galawan,” he added.

Zanjoe will star in the upcoming TV show “Playhouse” with Angelica Panganiban.
