Moira dela Torre made a memorable splash this year in the OPM scene.
The 24-year-old singer is the first OPM artist to take the number one spot in Spotify's Philippines Top 50 Chart, for her song "Titibo-Tibo," as per the announcement of the popular music-streaming site this Monday, December 4.
"Titibo-tibo" was composed by Libertine Astimoso and was the winning entry to the Himig Handog 2017.
Also this year, Moira sang a rendition of Moonstar 88's "Torete," which served as the official soundtrack of the Star Cinema film "Love You to The Stars and Back".
After all her success this 2017, the breakthrough artist is most proud of her character growth.
She said in a post by ABS-CBN PR, "I guess my character. Because it was a long time of waiting, and a long time of nothing."
Moira is also thankful for the people who never stopped believing in her talent.
"While nothing was happening, there are people like Sir Jonathan Manalo (Star Music audio content head) that would really just instill faith and encouragement to me. And at the same time, speak truth to me, to really prepare me for everything that's happening right now."
Moira was a contestant on “The Voice of the Philippines” Season 1.
