Kisses Delavin is alone but definitely not lonely.
Although her love team with Marco Gallo has ended, the budding singer-actress related that she’s having the time of her life - and learning a lot while doing it.
“Para akong sponge na lahat ng nakakasama ko, I absorb learnings from them,” she said in an interview with PUSH.
Kisses cited Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo as her most recent “teachers” in showbiz, as she’s working with them in the upcoming series “Playhouse.”
“Lagi akong nakikinig kanila Kuya Z at kanila Ate Angge. Very professional sila and ang dami kong natututunan,” she said.
Kisses further shared that she feels more empowered now that she’s not part of a love team, and she’s become motivated to succeed even more.
“As a solo artist ngayon I feel like I’m more determined kasi mahirap 'pag solo ka ngayon eh kasi limited ang projects mo kasi mostly, lahat ng projects naka-bundle kayo as love team,” she said. “I’m taking it as a challenge na kahit solo ang craft ko I can do so much better.”
She also related that she doesn’t mind having “slow” progress, because she’s happy where she is now.
“I feel like I’m on the right track… I feel that better na ‘yung slow kang pumupunta sa kung saan mo gusto kesa ‘yung sobrang bilis pero hindi tama ang direction mo,” she said. “I’m more of the direction than the speed.”
