Direk Cathy praises Joshua's comedic abilities!

You'd be lying if you said that Joshua Garcia didn't display some serious comedy acting chops in "Unexpectedly Yours."

Even the film's director, Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina, gave Joshua's "natural na natural" comedic abilities high praise—in the way only she can, of course.

During her recent Bloggers Conference, Direk Cathy said:

"Aang cute [niyang] mukhang tanga."

She explained, "Hindi pangit 'yun! Actually it's a good thing especially in rom-coms when we normally break the normalcy of every action. Ang hilig namin 'yang pagmukaing tanga. Si Joshua, he does it well."

Direk Cathy added, "Kasi may ibang artista 'pag pinagmukha mong tanga, mukha talgang tanga. Si Joshua pwede mong ipalabas na mukhang tanga [and it's cute]...kasi hindi siya offensive 'pag nagaganoon siya."

Joshua plays the fun-loving and determined Jason in "Unexpectedly Yours" which also stars his on-screen partner Julia Barretto and the legendary tandem of Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla.

"Unexpectedly Yours" tells the story of Patty (Sharon Cuneta), a proud and successful marketing executive in the midst of a midlife crisis, finds herself being reunited with her high school batchmate, the simple and humble seaman Cocoy (Robin Padilla), not only as organizers of their high school reunion but also as new neighbors.

And as Cocoy moves in next door, Yanni (Julia Barretto), Patty's headstrong daughter who is eager to leave and to live her own life, also meets his fun-loving nephew Jason (Joshua Garcia), who has been an avid follower of Yanni and her social media accounts.

Now, as both Patty and Yanni are undergoing big changes in their lives, how will things turn out when love unexpectedly comes their way?

It is now in cinemas nationwide!
