Last Thursday, December 14, we got the chance to interview "Ang Panday" cast member Awra Briguela at the sides of the epic fantasy film's press conference.
In our quick chit chat, the rising young star described his whole experience in doing the Coco Martin-starrer film.
"Masaya po kasi si Kuya Coco ang director and then mga nakasama ko dito mga co-artists ko sa 'Ang Probinsyano,' Awra said.
He went on to share, "Mas lalong masaya kasi 'yung character ko first time ko lang ginawa. 'Yung mga ginawa ko dito first time lang."
Awra is grateful to have been mentored by his Kuya Coco.
Of course, our God the saviour is also among Awra's inspirations in doing "Ang Panday".
"Wala po akong paghahanda talaga. Nagpe-pray lang po ako kay Papa Jesus na gabayan niya ako parati," he said.
Awra admitted that he still learn from the Primetime Action King even if it's already their third project together.
All of Awra's hardwork and effort paid off because after watching the film, he got a thumbs up from Kuya Coco and the people around him.
"Ang Panday" marks Coco's first-ever directorial project under his real name Rodel Nacianceno.
The remake of Carlo J. Caparas' epic fantasy film follows the story of Flavio (Coco) whose life will suddenly turn upside down when he realizes that his bloodline is destined to save humanity from the evil doings of Lizardo (Jake Cuenca).
"Ang Panday," which also stars Agot Isidro, Albert Martinez, Kylie Verzosa, Mariel de Leon, McCoy de Leon, Elisse Joson, Awra Briguela, and more, will be out in cinemas starting December 25!
