Bianca ‘at her happiest’ as a Kapamilya

Bianca King shared last November 6 at the "Pusong Ligaw" press conference how her experience in it “exceeded her expectations of what it would be like to do a show in ABS-CBN,” as this is her first project as a Kapamilya and also the longest of all her past projects.

“Nag-umpisa po kami, from the story con and everything, October 2016, so it’s been an entire year for me,” she said. “And parang hindi ko naramdamang dumaan ‘yung panahon eh kasi sobrang nag-enjoy ako.”

“I have them (gestures to cast) to blame because they’re such lovely people and everyone in the staff also. So dahil sa pagsasama naming lahat, it was a beautiful whirlwind, daming mga friendships na nabuo,” she added.

Though it’s been a year since she officially became part of the Kapamilya network, Bianca admitted that she feels as though it’s only been a month.

“Meaning to say that I don’t feel like it’s been that long,” Bianca explained. “It still feels fresh. I feel at home already because of the people, pero ‘pag nandito ako (the ABS-CBN compound) medyo strange territory pa siya kasi naliligaw ako,” she added with a laugh.

So how does it feel to be a Kapamilya?

“It is challenging, but at the same time, I think I’m at my happiest in my entire life,” she said with a smile.

One might wonder how she could be so terribly happy when she’s always in catfights with co-star Beauty Gonzalez for the show.

“Very in sync kami,” she said matter-of-factly. “Sobrang in sync kami, parang titingin lang kami at alam na namin ‘saan dito, saan ganun.’ Tsaka I think it’s because we work out together, so kaya parang tama ‘yung porma namin tsaka ‘yung chemistry namin kapag meron kaming mga eksenang ganun.”

She added, “‘Yung mga eksena nga naming malalaking movements talaga, para siyang work out talaga,” the actress added. “Grabe ‘yung pawis namin, hinihingal kami, sabi ko ‘Okay ‘to, nakaka-burn tayo ng calories dito. Sige, tuloy lang.’ ‘Yun ‘yung attitude namin towards the work that we have to do kasi admittedly very draining siya, mentally and physically, but because we like each other, we have fun with it.”

And with the show moving forward onto its next chapter, Creative Head Jay Fernando teased even more intense fight scenes between Bianca and Beauty’s characters Marga and Tessa respectively.

Catch Bianca on “Pusong Ligaw” weekday afternoons on Kapamilya Gold after “It’s Showtime.”
