Kapamilya actor Arjo Atayde has opened up about his maternal half-sister.

Arjo's mother, veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez, had a daughter from her previous relationship, before marrying Arturo Atayde, his father along with four other siblings.

In a story by PEP last Saturday, November 18, Arjo said that his half-sister Pia was never seen with their family on social media because it's the latter's decision.

He said, "She chose to have her own life. She chose to be with her dad than with us. That’s the only reason why she was never really shown on TV."

Their family situation may be different, but Arjo loves his half-sister Pia wholeheartedly. 

The "Hanggang Saan" actor said, "She’s still in my heart, she’s still my sister. But, you know, life is life. There are some things that you have to move on from. There are some things that you won’t forget but let go."

And for Arjo, family is family no matter what. 

"No matter what problem comes in, at the end of the day, you’re family. Family is family. Magkaproblema o walang problema, you guys will back up each other," he said.
